SCT and Junie B.

The Spokane Children's Theater production of the new musical version of Junie B. Jones and a Little Monkey Business has quite an array of local talent:

as Junie B., Danielle Read (the always-crying Ermengarde in the Civic's Hello, Dolly!)
as That Grace, Nicole Hicks (The Colored Museum at the Civic's Studio)
as Lucille, Tami Knoell (Miss Sarah Brown in the Civic's Guys and Dolls)
as Meanie Jim and Grandpa Miller, Tony Caprile (several shows at CenterStage)
as Crybaby William and the Boss of the School, Jamie Flanery (the arrogant British writer in You Say Tomatoes at Interplayers)
and, as "Mrs." and Grandma Miller, Sarah Miller (Anton in Show Business at Interplayers)

Visit www.spokanechildrenstheatre.org or call 328-4886.

Shows on Oct. 8-23 -- Saturdays at 10 am and 1 pm, Sundays at 1 pm (on Oct. 16 only, also at 4 pm)

at SCC

The local talent is not only onstage. The director for Junie B. Jones is Dawn Taylor Reinhardt. Dawn's not only directed for Civic's Studio Theatre, but she's served as production stage manager for Coeur d'Alene Summer Theatre for a number of seasons and is a sought-after creative dramatics instructor. She also talks with a really cool English accent!

I've read the script, heard the music and seen some of the rehearsals. This is an HILARIOUS show that anyone would enjoy. I can't imagine anyone better in the Junie B role. Word from Spokane Children's Theatre is that tickets are selling briskly so don't delay. (Apparently Junie B. Jones is the Harry Potter of the K-3 set.)
