"Auditions"? Hey Bobo, that's omitting a whole lot of facts about the Christian Youth Theatre's casting policies:

1) Only kids enrolled in CYT classes are eligible for the auditions; those classes are $170 each ($150 early registration).
2) All CYT students cast pay an additional $60 Production Fee.
3) Each kid cast (or their parents) is responsible for selling at least 10 tickets in advance of the show. "Not selling 10 tickets may affect future casting and/or result in billing of unsold tickets," the audition form states.

I don't know if CYT has any kind of scholarship program.

I do appreciate anything that gets kids involved in theater, but - as a parent - I'd appreciate knowing at least that CYT is a theater school and there are financial responsibilities involved.

Thanks, J.J. Of this, as of so many things, Bobo was ignorant.
I thought CYT students got first consideration for roles, but did not know about all these requirements.
