Just in time for Halloween, a fund-raiser for Ignite! Community Theater and readers' theater event will present The Raven by Edgar Allen Poe, The Cremation of Sam MacGee by Robert Service, and stories by Poe and H.P. Lovecraft on Friday, Oct. 28, at 8 pm.
Dress up in costume; spend some money at the silent auction.

A question for you
Any truth to the rumors that Actors Rep and interplayers could become one theatre? Heard it in quite a few circles.
Just curious.
didn't they used to be one theater?
Michael and Grant of ART used to be with Interplayers, but in the round of theatre upheavals we all endured a couple of years ago, they split and formed their own company.
Someone on this blog was asking for more theatre of the absurd. It's time to put your money where your mouth is. Civic theatre is opening Picasso at the Lapin Agile tonight, it's an absurdist piece written by Steve Martin.
Michael Weaver referred me to Julie Dittamore, chair of ARt's board. She dismisses such talk as "just a rumor."
I'm wondering in what way this string of comments/dialogue has any relation to Ignite! Community Theatre's fundraising event?

Ignite! officially uses the exclamation mark in its name, just as ARt uses the lower-case t.
