Anyone remember who played Dorothy Brock (the past-her-prime diva) in the productions of *42nd Street* either at CdA Summer Theatre in 2004 or at the Civic in '99 -- and how I could contact either woman?
I'm inquiring through the usual channels, but wanted to cast the Net of Inquiry farther ... Thanks.
Julie Powell at CdA -- she did the choreography, too, and stupid of me to forget.
ReplyDeleteDidn't Melody Deatherage for Civic??
ReplyDeleteYep, it was Melody Deatherage at Civic. Peter Hardie played her boyfriend. What's up?
ReplyDeleteResearch for a preview of the Feb. 2-5 show at the Opera House.
ReplyDeleteNo Julie Powell did not do the choreography I assure u,She did play Dorothy though.
ReplyDeleteCeri Peirce did the choreography and played Bonnie.
I do not believe it was Peter as her husband either.
ReplyDeleteYes, it was Pete who played Pat Denning, Dorothy's boyfriend/husband in the Civic Production.
ReplyDeleteCherie Price did CdA's choreography; she also choreographed Crazy For You and Cabaret.
ReplyDeleteCheri played Maggie in the Cd'A production, not Bonnie. Bonnie is the character she played in Anything Goes. Interestingly enough, Kathie Doyle Lipe played the same roles in the Civic mountings of both of these shows.
