  1. Mark Taper Forum A.D. Michael Ritchie, in Lisa Fung's story about the theater canceling its *Lieutenant of Inishmore* this summer, adds that "there have been “whispers of interest” regarding the CTG-Deaf West co-production of “Pippin,” with hopes that it will follow the path taken by an earlier CTG-Deaf West collaboration, “Big River,” which moved from the Taper to Broadway in 2003.

So, fingers crossed for another Deaf-West triumph with one of Bobo's musical faves. Reviews of the Deaf West *Big River* spoke of the weird, bewitching choreography of, at times, the entire cast signing in unison as they sang. Wish I'd seen it.
