A thousand miles to visit my mother-in-law, whose life revolves around her cats, and a further 400 miles to southern California to visit my own mother — who, at 88, still has better pen(wo)manship than I ever did. And a twinkle in her eye. And the aches and pains of old age. At the risk of being maudlin: God, I love that old girl, and it's so sad to see her stoop-backed and in pain. Her love has been a blessing on my life. So if you were thinking of saying anything bad about Mary Bowen, Bobo will personally poke you in the eye.
Hope you had a good vacation. So did we. The Spokane theatrical scene was almost healthy without you facilitaing the crabbing, complaining and back-stabbing. When are you off on more vacation?
Wouldn't it be "amongst?"
ReplyDeleteWhere did you go, Bobo? How was vacation?

ReplyDeleteIt's nice to have you back. I love reading your blog and your take on the local as well as national theatre scene.
Keep it up!
